What is it?

It's the last three days of Scripting News, categorized in an outline. The categories come from my RSS feed. To route something to a category, I just choose the category from a right-mouse-click hierarchic menu.

It can now be plugged into any application that understands OPML. There's one in particular that's interesting, an OPML directory browser.

The data flow here is marvelous. I was considering hacking up the directory browser, with callbacks, and other messy stuff; I even started re-implementing it, when I remembered that there was a much more natural way to plug in, the OPML interface.

I hope this makes some sense. It all fits just right. Of course these are the moments I live for, when the pieces just fit together. It takes many years sometimes to get to these places.

For people wanting to follow along with the development of the new aggregator, here's a table containing all the categorized items from Scripting News in the last three days. You need Frontier or Radio to view it. Here's a screen shot for those who don't have one of these tools. To some it will be ugly, but in the eye of the right beholder, it's actually quite beautiful.
